Bowls

West Tarring Bowls Club

West Tarring Bowls Club was formed in 1924. For some 20 years it played its home matches on a green in the Thomas A’Becket area of West Worthing. It was this location that gave the club its nickname of The Bishops. Shortly after the war, the land on which the green was situated was sold for development so the club moved to its present location at Field Place

If you are interested in joining a friendly, mixed club, whether you are just taking up the game of bowls, new to the area and seeking a local club or just looking for a change of environment, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Cheerleading

Worthing Panthers Cheerleaders

Panthers Allstar Cheerleaders are a local voluntary run cheer group, based at Worthing High School. Cheerleading is a combination of dance, gymnastics and stunting. We train Mondays and Saturdays (with additional practices leading up to competitions) and take part in various local events as part of the kids summer fun programme. From 5th September we will also be running pompom dance/cheer for fun sessions for 5-9 year olds.

Croquet

Worthing Croquet Club

Worthing Croquet Club is situated on the lawn to the east of The Barn building at Field Place where we enjoy playing on 2 x 3/4 size lawns and 1 full size lawn.  Croquet is played 7 days a week from 10 a.m. till dusk.

Why not come along and learn more about the game, you are always very welcome.  For more information telephone or e-mail us when an appointment will be made for someone to meet with you for a trial.
