Please note that from Wednesday 18th January, BODYATTACK will be reverting back to a 45 minute format, from 7.15 to 8.00 pm in Studio 1.
Legs, Bums and Tums will be remaining in the main hall from 7.15 to 8.00 pm
This decision has been made after much consideration. Whilst all the management appreciate both the need for a BODYATTACK class in the main hall, following its success over the past two weeks, unfortunately the sound levels and in particular the high levels of bass that are used in BODYATTACK music, are completely incompatible to the rest of the users of Worthing Lesiure Centre. This is particularly the case with users of squash, badminton and Mirage therapy rooms.
I am looking to put an additional peak-time BODYATTACK class on in the next few weeks to meet the high demand for this class.
Please keep an eye on the website for details.

All employees at Worthing Leisure are encouraged to nominate each month anyone who they believe has gone above and beyond what is expected of them in their job roles.
Nominations are usually put forward in the form of an email to the General Manager and taken to be discussed at the monthly Facility Managers’ Meeting.
From 2012, an “Employee of the Year Award” has been introduced (April 2011 – March 2012).
The names of all monthly Employee Award winners during the past year were put forward and discussed at the Facility Managers’ Meeting in April 2012.

The new £18 million swimming pool is in need of a name.
Worthing Borough Council is looking for imaginative, creative ideas that would capture what the pool is all about.
We are encouraging the local community, particularly its younger members to come up with some ideas. It’s a great opportunity for youngsters to get involved in this fantastic facility.
The competition will run until 5pm on Friday, 30th March, with the winning name announced on Tuesday, 8th May.
The new pool complex will be ready in spring 2013 and will include:
|
Six lane, 25 metre competition pool with moveable floor |
|
Combined learner / diving pool with moveable floor |
|
Indoor leisure pool with flume and outdoor paddling pool waters |
|
Health and fitness centre with a state of the art 100-station gym |
|
Café and flexible studio space for other events, meetings and parties |
